Canon recently announced the Canon Eos C300 digital cinema camera, and now it looks like the device will launch in Japan on the 31st of January 2012, with a US release shortly after that date.
The Canon EOS C300 features a Super 35mm CMOS sensor with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels, and it will be available with either a Canon EF lens mount of a Cinema standard PL lensmount.
Canon is also releasing seven 4K EF lenses, four of which will be zoom lenses, whilst the other three will be fixed focal lenses, and it will be available with its 14.5-60mm T2.6L lens at launch.
The Canon EOS C300 is expected to retail for around $15,999 plus taxes when it launches in the US, and it will also be rolled out to Europe and the UK at a later date.
