Despite the introduction of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, HTC is set to unveil a new version of its proprietary Sense UI later this year (most probably at MWC next month). Sense 4.0 will bring in Dropbox integration that will give HTC smartphone users an additional 50GB of storage space in the cloud, which will work as an additional drive of sorts, the guys at PocketNow claim, having used an unfinished version of the UI. They have also been praising the new e-mail interface with proper threaded messaging and a smart sync feature that learns the user’s usage pattern and adopts accordingly by not syncing for times when the user does not use the phone for long durations. The camera software is also expected to get better, especially when it comes to taking photos of people – it will click multiple pictures and select the best one where no one’s blinking. There are a few other tweaks in the UI and it seems like HTC has taken some leaves out of iOS 5 (new notifications on homescreen) and Windows Phone (email interface). Check out the source link for their first impressions.
