HTC Amaze 4G on T-Mobile Updating to Enable WiFi Calling

A leak once suggested that the HTC Amaze 4G on T-Mobile would receive an update to enable placing calls over WiFi in mid-November. That didn't end up going down as expected, but an additional leak addressed the WiFi-calling update and suggested it would finally be out in the "near future". We suppose "one month" falls under that category, and T-Mobile has just released the details on the Amaze's latest update today.

System software version 1.43.531.3 includes a bunch of bugfixes. The clock widget will now change time zones correctly, Bluetooth and WiFi connections in general should be more stable, and the phone's Twitter and Peep functionality has been tweaked.

There's also some new software, in the form of Google Music, but the big news for most of you will be the overdue addition of WiFi calling. With the right service plan, you'll be able to make calls over your home network without even touching your allocated minutes. The update starts going out today, and should hit all users within a little over a month.
