Nokia is ready to trim the price tag of the Lumia 800 as well. Online retailer
Flipkart is now quoting Rs 28,499 for the Lumia 800, which is a 5 percent drop from its original price of Rs 29,999 when it was launched a month ago. Nokia yesterday announced it had sold over a million units of
Windows Phone running Lumia smartphones in less about two months since they went on sale in a handful of countries. However, initial units of the Lumia 800 were plagued with battery management issues, for which Nokia released a software fix earlier this month. No other retailer has indicated about the price cut, which could mean either Nokia has just intimated them about it or this could be a Flipkart special offer.
