Budget LG Optimus L3 E400 on the way

LG is bringing an attractive new budget smartphone handset with the LG L3 E400
LG is due to launch a budget smartphone called the Optimus L3 E400. A northern European retailer has already begun taking pre-orders on the device, so it should be set to arrive shortly.
The spec line-up is typical budget fare and although adequate isn’t anything to have a song and dance about. It features a 3.2-inch 320x240 pixel resolution display, a 3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
What’s really nice about the L3 E400 though is the design, we’re used to LG putting out attractive handsets but this is one seriously smart-looking device.
It’s priced at €145 at the Swedish retailer CDON, which translates to around £121 for the UK.
LG hasn’t officially announced the phone just yet, so we don't know exactly when it'll launch. However, we suspect the company may reveal the device at Mobile World Congress, towards the end of February, alongside its premium LG CX 2 and the quad core LG X3.
It’s also not clear at this stage whether it’ll get a wider release across Europe and in the UK, but if it does it’ll probably prove a popular choice with those who don’t want to spend a fortune on a sharp-looking smartphone.
