How to connect to Wi-Fi on the HTC Sensation

This tutorial explains how to connect to wireless networks using your HTC Sensation
Connecting to Wi-Fi allows you to access faster internet speeds and save on your mobile data costs. Here's how you set it up:
  1. From the homescreen, press the ‘Menu' key.
  2. Tap ‘Settings'.
  3. Tap ‘Wireless & networks'.
  4. Check the ‘Wi-Fi' checkbox to turn Wi-Fi on. The phone will now search for nearby networks and create a list under the ‘Wi-Fi networks' section.
  5. Tap the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to and tap ‘Connect':
  • If it's an open network you'll be able to connect straight away. However, bear in mind that some unsecured networks may still have security in place which will mean you'll need to enter a username and password into the phone's browser window before you can access the internet.
  • A secured network will need you to enter a password to proceed.
You should be able to obtain any required login details from your network administrator.
If the network you want doesn't appear on the list it may be a hidden network. You can tap ‘Add Wi-Fi network' to add it manually - you'll need the network name and possibly a password to do this.
